WorthPoint is buying GoAntiques - and starting an auction site!

Now here's a bit of *very* interesting news from AuctionBytes:

GoAntiques Sold to Worthpoint, Will Launch eBay Alternative

It's funny because Walt and I talked a little bit about WorthPoint on our last podcast, and we have also been discussing the need for a new auction site that focuses on *just* antique and vintage collectibles... are the stars aligning just right this week or what?

I am especially interested because GoAntiques is based right here in Columbus, Ohio - just a hop, skip and a jump away. How exciting to see two high quality companies coming together like this - I can't wait to see what they come up with...

Stay tuned to the podcast and to Walt and I's blogs - this is one story that isn't going to go off of our radar anytime soon!

Update! - Walt wrote a great article about this on his Examiner blog - and we are going to have the CEO of WorthPoint on the radio show in the near future! How cool is that?

Hello, This caught my eye. Thank you for the kudos to GoAntiques and Worthpoint. As a seller on GoAntiques since August 2003 this helps me feel a little better about the change. I appreciate it.
New beginnings can be good.
